Pendley Manor Wedding

Pendley Manor, Tring, Hertfordshire - Lois & Tom

Bride and groom share a moment at their Pendley Manor Wedding

I had such a brilliant day photographing the wedding of Lois & Tom at Pendley Manor, a truly elegant wedding venue just outside Tring in Hertfordshire. Set within beautifully maintained grounds, Pendley Manor offers a calm, romantic setting that feels both grand and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed yet refined wedding day.

Pendley Manor is a historic country house, now a hotel, wedding and conference venue, and is Grade II listed for its significance as an outstanding example of Victorian architecture. The present building was completed in 1874 and designed in a striking neo-Jacobean style by architect Walter F. K. Ryan. Built in rich red brick with Bath stone dressings, the manor is full of character, from its half-timbered, jettied top floor and ornate herringbone brickwork to the carved Jacobean-style pilasters and decorative chimney pots. One of its most distinctive features is the square tower with an ogee-shaped lead roof, while the date 1875, carved above the porch, quietly marks its history.

For documentary wedding photography, Pendley Manor offers endless visual interest, dramatic architecture, soft natural light and intimate spaces that allow real moments to unfold naturally. It’s a venue that lends itself beautifully to capturing genuine emotion and timeless imagery throughout the day.
