A Natural, Candid Wedding at Milling Barn in Throcking – Elizabeth & Thomas

a wedding couple share a moment at milling barn wedding venue throcking

Milling Barn is firmly up there in my top five wedding venues, and it’s easy to see why. Its simple, rustic barn interior is filled with beautiful natural light, something I love to make the most of for relaxed, romantic couple portraits, just as I did for Elizabeth & Thomas’s summer wedding. The barn perfectly blends the traditional character of a breathtaking 17th-century oak structure with the laid-back charm of the old farmyard setting.

The impressive main barn is a truly magical space for your wedding reception. With its high ceilings and exposed beams, Milling Barn has a timeless rustic feel and period charm that works beautifully for both your ceremony and wedding breakfast. It’s a space that feels grand yet welcoming, full of warmth and character.

Spacious and sophisticated, the barn is stunning from day to night. Soft lighting highlights the original timber framework, adding a gentle glow that complements the daylight streaming through the windows. As evening falls and the lights dim, the atmosphere shifts effortlessly, creating the perfect backdrop for dining, drinking, dancing and celebrating long into the night. Outside, the garden and patio offer a lovely place to relax and soak it all in once the formalities are over.

Thank you so much for being part of our special day! We has an amazing time and it was a pleasure having you as our photographer!
